YokotaX Terms & Conditions of Use

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By accessing, downloading, installing, or using the YokotaX mobile application and related services ("Platform"), you ("User") acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions of Use ("Agreement"). If you do not agree to these terms in their entirety, you must not use the Platform.

2. PLATFORM DESCRIPTION AND LIMITATIONS

2.1 Service Nature

YokotaX is a community-powered, donation-based ride coordination platform exclusively designed to serve military families, personnel, and authorized dependents stationed at or affiliated with Yokota Air Base, Japan.

2.2 Express Limitations

The Company explicitly disclaims any role as:

• A transportation company or carrier
• A ride-hailing service provider
• An employer of drivers
• A guarantor of transportation services

3. ELIGIBILITY AND REGISTRATION

3.1 Age Requirement

Users must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to create an account or use the Platform.

3.2 Military Affiliation

Users must demonstrate current or authorized affiliation with Yokota Air Base through:

• Active duty military personnel
• Military dependents with valid ID cards
• Authorized base personnel
• Residents of base housing or authorized off-base housing

4. COMPREHENSIVE LIABILITY WAIVER

IMPORTANT: By using the Platform, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with ride-sharing activities, including but not limited to motor vehicle accidents, personal injury, property damage, theft, delays, or service interruptions.

You hereby irrevocably release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the Company from any and all liability, claims, demands, losses, or damages arising from your use of the Platform.

5. KARMA UNIT SYSTEM

The Platform operates on a fairness-based Karma system:

• +1 Karma: Achieved through donations or providing rides
• 0 Karma: Balanced giving and receiving
• -1 Karma: Receiving more than contributing

Users with negative Karma cannot request rides until balance is restored.

6. CODE OF CONDUCT

All users must maintain respectful, professional conduct. Prohibited activities include harassment, false information, commercial solicitation, or behavior that endangers community safety.

7. ACCOUNT TERMINATION

Accounts may be suspended or permanently terminated for violations including but not limited to harassment, fraud, safety violations, or abuse of the Karma system.

8. DISCLAIMERS

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS-IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. The Company makes no guarantees regarding availability, safety, or quality of transportation services.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

THE COMPANY'S TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED $100.00. The Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. GOVERNING LAW

This Agreement is governed by United States law and applicable Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) provisions. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
